CFPS2.0 updating
CFPS Version 2.0 lays more stresses on friendly communication with the user; convenient operating interface makes the application pleasant; and more prompting information is good for the user to solve troubles. Furthermore, many new functions have been added in CFPS Version 2.0 and the original functions have been improved, so it can further satisfy the service demands of small and medium-sized airline companies and airports. The new functions include:
- Trans-city multi-business outlets of subsidiary company
- User authority
- New functions oriented to airport users
- Freight management
- Sub-waybill
- Settlement of receivable and payable freights
- Space booking
- Statistics
DSS updating
Because DSS software was designed for providing data support to the business decision of various large and medium-sized airlines, the business conditions of the cargo stations of airports were not considered. In addition, some users have put forth some suggestions on its applications and functions after the system was put into operation. Furthermore, the software development platform used for the development of DSS has been updated from PB5 to PB7. In view of these factors, we will update DSS product on the original basis. After updating:
- DSS will operate in a stable environment based on Oracle 8i and DB2 background database;
- The development platform will be updated from PB5 to PB7;
- Such functions as the analysis of old consignees, the analysis of the waste of space booked by agents and the statistical analysis of subsidiary airlines will be added;
- The functions to be modified include production analysis, agent analysis, type analysis, goods source analysis, structure analysis and etc.
The development of InfoPub system
Cargo information service system (InfoPub) is a new product that will be developed by InfoSky. This new product is aimed to provide a service between airlines, airports, agents and their Customers. InfoPub will mainly provide functions in two aspects, i.e. cargo data service oriented to enterprise ERP through Web release and cargo information service oriented to general consignees through e-mail/SMS. The development will be started from middle December 2001 and end by May 2002. In this period, InfoSky will complete the development of the core modules and interface programs, test, debugging, operation and the other relevant work.
The development of TTY message interface system
This system is currently at the stage of development. It will be able to process the transmission and receiving of APTN messages and SITA messages. The system development is divided into three stages:
- First, to realise message receiving and transmission through two kinds of interfaces, i.e. to realise real-time and accurate message receiving and transmission through interface module;
- Second, to replace the message processing software currently used by the users, and the new software is required to have a friendly interface, be easy for operation and have a low error rate.
- Third, to realise the connection with CFPS database with a compact structure and no loss of data.
The integration of FOS32
This work is currently underway. The masking of Fast4 with FOS32 has been completed by now. The following targets will be realised through the integration of FOS32:
- Reform of the connection between FOS32 and Fast4;
- Adjustment of local database structure;
- Code optimisation;
- User management;
- Modification and updating of functional modules
The development of Web UCS
The development of Web UCS is approaching the end and currently at the stage of test. The purpose of this program is to put the UCS function of mechanised station on Web and thereby provide the users of various air stations with inexpensive, convenient, rich and effective ULD management measures. The development of the following modules has been completed:
- The module of the UCS function of mechanised station, which has realised two types (i.e. ULD operation record and information display) and totally about 20 functions;
- The basic functional module of PCOM server;
- The user management module of UCS administrator.
The development of InfoLogis
At present, the developers are carrying out product customisation for Beijing Qili Cargo Service Company. The front-end demand analysis and service process planning have been completed. This system can provide the specific Customers with the following functions:
- Customer (agent and old consignee) management and statistical analysis
- Bill (waybill and sub-waybill) operation, bill combination and daily sales report preparation
- Updating of and inquiry about information concerning cargo carrying
- Warehouse management, including automatic warehouse-in and warehouse-out operation and inquiry according to bar codes
- Distribution management, including land transportation and fleet management
- Freight management
- Waybill management
- Financial settlement and financial statistics
- Web inquiry and Web service operation
- Inquiry about the information processed by the host computers of domestic airline companies and etc.
CFPS2.0 is put into operation in Shanghai Airlines
CFPS2.0 is currently under trial operation in Shanghai Airlines. InfoSky's technicians completed the training of Shanghai Airlines' staff on December 22 and thereby CFPS has entered the stage of trial operation. The ending date of trial operation will be determined according to the situation of Shanghai Airlines' operators.
Fast4/FOS32 will be put into operation in Nanning
It's expected that Nanning Airport will begin to put Fast4/FOS32 system into operation in the February 2002. At present, Nanning Airport is carrying out network wiring and InfoSky is carrying out software preparation and test.
